Reminder: Registration Open for Online with the CMC Webinar “Where’s Waldo: Cataloging Maps” (Thurs., Nov. 11, 10:00-11:00 AM)

Posted on November 5, 2021 by Eric Edwards

(via Dr. Pamela Thomas, Illinois Heartland Library System)

This is a reminder that registration is still open for the next Online With the CMC webinar, “Where’s Waldo: Cataloging Maps”. The webinar will take place on Thursday, November 11, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. We have moved this webinar up one week so that it will not conflict with the IHLS Member Day.

The webinar will introduce attendees to the basics of map cataloging, focusing on the important and prominent MARC tags. The presenter will also use a map bibliographic record to demonstrate the differences between cataloging maps and cataloging books.

For more information, and to register, please go here. We encourage everyone to register, even if you are unable to attend the live session, since a link to the recording will be sent to all registrants after the event. Registration is open through the day of the event.

Please direct any questions to Dr. Pamela Thomas, Bibliographic Project Coordinator for the Illinois Heartland Library System, at pthomas@illinoisheartland.org.
