This is the final week to register for the University of Illinois-hosted ACRL Scholarly Communications Roadshow, “Scholarly Communication: From Understanding to Engagement,” at the I-Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign, Illinois on Friday, May 4 from 9am to 4:30pm.

This all-day workshop will be led by Scholarly Communication RoadShow instructors Carla Myers, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Scholarly Communications at Miami University Libraries, and Rachael G. Samberg, Scholarly Communication Officer at the University of California at Berkeley.
The day begins with an overview of scholarly communication fundamentals including open access, copyright, and library engagement. For the afternoon sessions, the expert presenters will offer a deep dive into the following specific areas:
- Institutional Repositories
- Open Education
- Outreach and Programming
This one-day workshop will be provided to attendees free of cost and lunch will be provided.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
The workshop is appropriate for those with new leadership assignments in scholarly communication or digital publishing, with administrative responsibilities, as well as subject liaisons and any other library professionals who are seeking to advance their professional development in scholarly communication.
CARLI member libraries are especially invited to attend.
