HSLI invites you to attend a free, one-hour virtual presentation, “Scaling Strategies for Digital Accessibility”, on Monday, April 27, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT. Libraries and librarians are focused on increasing the accessibility of digital content including websites, instruction materials, communications, and collections in response to recent updates in Title II of the ADA. Learn how individuals and small teams can make a big impact on this work through setting priorities, finding institutional and professional allies and identifying free training and resources. The session will not be recorded but slides and a resource list will be shared with attendees.
About the Presenter:
Cathy Lantz is Reference & Instruction Librarian at University Illinois Chicago. As a liaison librarian she works with the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Earth & Environmental Sciences. She has led or co-led the Library Accessibility Committee at UIC for 10+ years and published research on the information related to accessibility included on websites of ARL Libraries. Last year she presented a poster at the HSLI Conference on accessibility planning for a team-designed OER on Evidence Based Medicine.
