The next webinar in the National Network of Libraries of Medicine – Greater Midwest Region’s Kernel of Knowledge series is “Engaging Underserved Communities”. The event will take place on Thursday, May 18, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CST. To register, click here. More information about the webinar and the presenter is below.

It takes a village to improve the health of persons living in medically underserved areas. Join the one-hour GMR webinar to learn strategies for partnering with underserved health communities to promote health information. Our speaker is Brad Wright, Assistant Professor in both the Department of Health Management and Policy and the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa. He holds a Ph.D. in health policy and management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MS in health policy from George Washington University. His research focuses on how to improve the cost and quality of health care among vulnerable populations and the role of community health centers.
