Registration Open for NNLM Webinar “How PubMed Works: Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)”–Wed., June 18, 1:00-2:30 PM CDT

Registration is open for the NNLM webinar “How PubMed Works: Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)”. It will take place on Wednesday, June 18, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.

This How PubMed Works: Medical Subject Headings session addresses increasing health information access and use by highlighting features of the National Library of Medicine’s PubMed bibliographic database.  

Objectives

  • Explore the MeSH Database
  • Describe a Controlled Vocabulary
  • Explore the four types of MeSH Terms
  • Locate and explain entry terms, date introduced, previous indexing, automatic explosion

The instructor is Margot Malachowski, Education and Outreach Coordinator for NNLM Region 7.

The course is worth 1.50 hours of MLA CE credit. This is a National NNLM class at the “Beginner” and “Intermediate” levels.
