The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), in partnership with the American Library Association and Illinois Library Association, will host “More Speech: A Conversation about the First Amendment,” a panel discussion examining how the First Amendment impacts art and civic life, freedom of speech, and expression. The event will include opening remarks, a keynote address, and a panel of first amendment experts moderated by Robert Jordan, a former WGN-TV news anchor and journalist. This free event will take place from 6:15-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at the Harold Washington Library. Registration is required.
