‘Experts on Special Collections: Opening the Archives” | Wednesday, February 25, at 10:00 AM CDT

Curious about archives? What’s inside? How can you visit? Join KSU Archivist Kate Matheny as she demystifies the policies, permissions, and restrictions that once inhibited user access and explores the field’s progress towards opening the archives.

“Experts on Special Collections: Rare Books for Everyone” | Wednesday, March 25, at 10:00 AM CDT

Would you touch a priceless, historic manuscript with your bare hands? Join JoyEllen Williams, KSU’s Special Collections and Rare Books Curator, for a deep dive into the evolution of rare book collections from treasure rooms and white gloves to access for all.

“Experts on Special Collections: Curating a Career” | Wednesday, April 29, at 10:00 AM CDT

Are you curious about special collections career paths? Join current students Andrew Bramlett and Octavia Mann and alumna Camilla Stegall as they discuss how their experiences with KSU’s special collections have and will shape their careers. KSU Archivist Kate Matheney and Rare Books Curator JoyEllen Williams will add their expertise to the conversation.

If you’re interested but unable to attend, register to receive a recording.
