Registration is open for the free Scholarly Snippets webinar “Helping authors maintain compliance with Zero Embargo NIH Public Policy submission mandate “. It will take place on Tuesday, September 23, from 12:30 to 1:00 PM CDT.
Changes in the NIH Public Access Policy, notably the adoption of a zero-embargo period requirement for submitting to PubMed Central, have important implications for researchers and authors. This webinar will examine the range of existing and emerging publication models and provide guidance in evaluating the best approaches to manuscript submission. It will also explore the JISC Open Policy Finder (formerly Sherpa/Romeo), a tool that provides summaries of open access archiving and compliance policies from journals, publishers, and funders to help researchers make informed decisions about open access publication.
The presenter is Terry Henner, Head of Outreach Services at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Savitt Medical Library.
Please register here. All sessions are recorded and posted to the Scholarly Snippets YouTube channel.
The Scholarly Snippets workshop series is the culmination of a multi-institutional collaborative effort between osteopathic medical libraries, aimed at providing informative and quality presentations relating to research, scholarship, and resources.
