Please see below for information on the return of a traditional networking event for CAA (Chicago Area Archivists) and SLA (Special Libraries Association) – Illinois. In the past, HSLI has also partnered with these groups on a few virtual events.
Join us on Wednesday, July 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM CDT for a joint happy hour of CAA and SLA-IL colleagues! Event details about the northwest side Chicago area venue (ERIS Brewery and Cider House, 4240 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60641) and registration are available on CAA’s website.
This event is open and free to anyone, but we request that you register by Wednesday, July 16, if you plan on attending so that we can get a final attendance number to our venue. We will have some communal snacks, but personal food and drinks will be ordered on your own via QR code.
If you have any questions, please e-mail Gretchen Neidhardt of CAA (gretchenneidhardt@gmail.com).
Note: SLA-IL was founded in 1925, so there will be cause to celebrate the anniversary. The future of SLA (national organization) may include a merger with another organization (ASIS&T, SLA Dissolution Information – Special Libraries Association, Inc.), with the possibility of continuing to have local and regional communities.
