Registration is open for the CARLI PDA (Professional Development Alliance) webinar “”Identifying, Addressing, and Mitigating Workplace Bullying in Academic Libraries”. It will take place on Tuesday, June 17, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT.
Workplace bullying is a pervasive issue that can have devastating consequences for individuals and organizations. In academic libraries, the impact of bullying can be felt by all workers. This presentation will identify workplace bullying behaviors and delve into the prevalence, causes, and consequences of workplace bullying in academic libraries. We will explore strategies for addressing bullying behaviors, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity, and creating safe and welcoming workplaces for all library staff.
Presenters
Andrea Hebert is an Associate librarian at LSU Libraries. She moved into the role of Research Impact Librarian in 2022 after working since 2015 as the liaison to the College of Human Sciences & Education in the Research & Instruction Services department.
Catherine Baird is an Associate librarian at Montclair State University’s Harry A. Sprague Library. She is the Online and Outreach Services Librarian with multiple liaison librarian areas, including Counseling, Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Education.
Justin Savage is the Interim Head for Access Services & Resource Sharing at the Montclair State University Harry A. Sprague Library. He is the liaison to the Kinesiology, Nutrition, Teaching & Learning, and Writing Studies departments.
