Please join us online Wednesday, November 26, at 1:00 PM CDT, for another great LILi (Lifelong Information Literacy) Show & Tell!
In this interactive session, Amanda (Mandi) Goodsett from Cleveland State University, will share how she has been experimenting with misinformation inoculation as a powerful approach to teaching information literacy. Adapting the University of Cambridge’s Bad News game, she developed Chaos Creator, an activity that lets students step into the role of misinformation producers to learn how manipulation works from the inside out. Amanda also created Future Forecast, where students predict how emerging technologies might be used to shape public opinion. These activities help students identify misinformation “red flags” before applying fact-checking strategies like lateral reading. Participants will leave with practical, ready-to-use ideas for bringing these strategies into their own classrooms.
Access the meeting here. No registration is required. A recording will also be available on the LILi Show & Tell webpage after the session.
