National Network of Libraries of Medicine Offering “American Indian Health Information Resources” Class on Thursday, August 24

Posted on August 23, 2017 by Eric Edwards

(via Helen Spielbauer, National Network of Libraries of Medicine – Greater Midwest Region)

According to the 2010 US Census, approximately 5.2 million people stated that they were American Indian or Alaskan Native. A recent study shows that American Indian use of the Internet to find health information is lower in comparison with the adult U.S. population. This three-hour program will introduce a variety of governmental and non-governmental Internet resources that have health information for American Indian populations.

The webinar portion will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 PM CST on Thursday, August 24. Register for the webinar and self-paced exercise course (the latter should take an hour-and-a-half), and receive 3 hours of MLA CE credit. For more information, and to register, click here.
