A refresher workshop in cataloging books, this event will focus on the nuts and bolts of cataloging books in MARC following RDA principles. The program will include an in-depth discussion of the MARC tags and subfields for books. The main speaker will be Chris Oliver, Head of Resource Description and Metadata Services at the University of Ottawa Library.
The workshop will be held on Friday, February 19, at the St. Charles Public Library, which is located at One South 6th Ave. in St. Charles. The charge to register is $30.00 for LACONI (Library Administrators Conference of Northern Illinois) members and $40.00 for non-members; this includes lunch. Due to space limitations, we are asking for a two-person-per-library limit on registrations.
