Two Illinois librarians presented at this year’s Brick & Click Libraries Conference. Melissa Burel and Sarah Park, both from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, were part of a panel for the session “Snap, Click, Chat: Investigating the International Student Experience”. The presentation covered the strategies Lovejoy Library staff used for learning about the needs of the growing international student population at SIU-Edwardsville. These methods included interviews, surveys, and photo diaries. Staff chose the strategies after an extensive literature review of what approaches had or had not worked at other libraries. The 16th annual Brick & Click meeting took place at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, from November 3 to 4.The conference is intended for both on-campus and online students and library staff.
