GMR Update for January 2016 Available

The January 2016 GMR Update is now live. Check it out online to learn more about upcoming training opportunities, DOCLINE news, and more.

The following training sessions in the “Lake Effects” series will take place over the next few months.

  • February 23-“Helping the Helper: Strategies for Supporting Caregivers”
  • March 17-“LGBTQ Health Resources Update”
  • April 21-“Keep on Learning: Educational Resources for K-12 and Beyond”

Also, the following National Library of Medicine traveling exhibits will soon visit, or have already visited, locations in Illinois.

  • “Binding Wounds, Pushing Boundaries: African Americans in Civil War Medicine”-hosted by the Orland Park Public Library in Orland Park, April 11 – May 21
  • “Confronting Violence: Improving Women’s Lives”-hosted by Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, April 11 – May 21
  • “From DNA to Beer: Harnessing Nature in Medicine and Industry”-Lake Land College in Mattoon, from December 31, 2015, to January 31, 2016
