CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on our advisory committees and task forces. Volunteers chosen for committee service will serve a three-year term, July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029. The application period for initial committee appointments will close on Friday, May 1, at 5:00 PM CDT. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply.
Service on CARLI committees and task forces affords individuals a unique opportunity to use their experience and expertise to help shape the future of the consortium and its services. You can find more information including the committee charge from the committee directory.
To volunteer, please complete the volunteer form by May 1. To be considered for appointment, you must fill out this online form even if you have previously submitted a form, or if you are a current committee member whose term is expiring and you wish to be considered again. CARLI seeks to include as many individuals and institutions as possible in committee/task force service, so rosters are limited to one person from any institution. Committee members are not routinely reappointed.
Forms submitted by May 1 will be considered for initial FY 2027 appointments. The list of all volunteers will be retained until March 1, 2027 and will be used to fill vacancies if they occur.
Individuals accepting appointments to CARLI committees are expected to participate fully and actively in the work of the committee, including regular attendance at meetings and committee-sponsored events held throughout the calendar year. CARLI makes every effort to conduct the majority of each group’s business by web conferencing or via conference calls. However, service may require time and/or travel expenses for one or more in-person meetings each year.

The following CARLI task force is seeking members to serve a one-year initial term, beginning July 1, 2026. The initial one-year term may be renewed as needed to complete the work of the task force:
- I-Share Metadata Task Force
The CARLI staff will make appointments to be approved by the CARLI Director and the Executive Committee of the CARLI Governance Board no later than Friday, June 12.
