The 2026 True North Science Boot Camp (TNSBC) will be held in-person on Thursday June 18 and Friday June 19, 2026 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Hosted by McMaster University Libraries, this year’s TNSBC theme is Interdisciplinary Teaching and Research in STEM. This event brings together STEM library workers, educators, and researchers to explore interdisciplinary approaches in science teaching, research, and communication.
As with previous years, the TNSBC 2026 organizers wish to include new and emerging work of STEM librarians and library workers as part of the program. We invite proposals from our STEM colleagues to share any innovative work that they are conducting on any aspect of STEM librarianship.
There is no requirement that proposals adhere to the conference theme. Any interesting proposal about innovative work in STEM librarianship is invited for consideration!
There are 3 options for proposals, presentations (20 minutes), lightning talks (5 minutes), and interactive workshops (60 minutes). More information about proposal options and how proposals will be assessed is available on the Information for Presenters page.
To submit a proposal, please complete the online submission form no later than Sunday April 5. All proposal authors will be contacted no later than Friday April 17, with a decision.
