Please save the date for the inaugural Student Success Symposium, taking place on Wednesday, November 12, online via Zoom. This free event is open to all and will explore the theme “The Evolving Landscape of Student Success”. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Tia Brown McNair, a nationally-recognized leader on inclusive excellence, high-impact practices, student readiness, equity in student outcomes, and campus climate.
The symposium, organized by the University of San Diego (USD) Copley Library, and with generous funding from the Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium (SCELC) will bring together librarians, faculty, student affairs professionals, administrators, staff, and students to share expertise, exchange ideas, and showcase collaborative strategies that enhance student learning, engagement, and success in higher education.
The call for proposals is now open. We welcome proposals that highlight innovative practices, research, or collaborations addressing the evolving landscape of student success. Presentations that foreground equity, inclusion, and the unique needs of diverse student populations are especially encouraged.
For more details on the session topics, formats, requirements, and timelines, please check out the call for proposals page. The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 29. I hope you will consider submitting a proposal and marking your calendar for this exciting event.
