The 2026 Illinois Information Literacy Summit will take place on Friday, May 1, at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. This year’s theme—“Skepticism (Not Cynicism): Navigating Knowledge in a Time of Uncertainty”—explores how libraries foster curiosity, evidence-based questioning, and informed engagement. We’re especially interested in proposals related to ACCESS: Authority & Algorithms, Censorship, Control, Equity, Suppression, and Survival.
Formats:
• 50-minute breakout sessions or panels
• 50-minute roundtable discussions
• 5–7 minute lightning talks
Proposals include:
• 200–400 word description
• attendee takeaways
• 50–100 word abstract
• (Roundtables: short bibliography + discussion questions)
