We are a team of librarian researchers who are members of the Medical Library Association’s (MLA) Public Health / Health Administration (PHHA) Caucus. The PHHA Caucus is made up of librarians and information professionals whose work involves support of public health programs and academic institutions.
We are conducting a census of library and information professionals who support public health programs, departments, and schools at US-based academic institutions. If you work in a library as a librarian or information professional who supports public health, we are inviting you to voluntarily participate in our survey. The survey includes questions about your job functions, your professional training, your work context, and professional development opportunities you may like to pursue. We will also ask some optional demographic questions.
Access the survey here.
Our team will compile your responses into a disaggregated summary to share with the professional community. If you choose, upon completing the survey you can indicate whether you would like to be included in a directory, which will document your name, title, institution and email address. You do not need to be a member of the MLA to participate. Sharing your experience will help us better understand public health librarianship, and we appreciate your time and consideration.
