Call for Participation: Survey for Book Chapter on Burnout in Academic Libraries

Posted on February 27, 2021 by Eric Edwards

(via Lis Pankl, Dean of Library & Information Services at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville)

We are conducting research on burnout in academic libraries and are asking library staff to take a brief survey to help collect information. The title of this study is “The effect of dysfunctional organizational culture on burnout in academic libraries”. The study’s purpose is to investigate if and how dysfunctional organizational cultures in academic libraries lead to greater incidences of burnout amongst librarians. The results of this study will appear in a book chapter published by the Association of College and Research Libraries.

To view additional information about the survey and its purpose, and to access the survey itself, please go here. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete

Thank you!

Lora Del Rio, Research & Teaching Coordinator, SIUE
Juliet Gray, Interim Assistant Dean, SIUE
Lis Pankl, Dean of Library & Information Services, SIUE
