Call for Examples of DEI Language in CARLI Members’ Collection-Development Policies (Deadline Fri., Jan. 14)

Posted on December 20, 2021 by Eric Edwards

(via Elizabeth Clarage and Jen Masciadrelli, CARLI, on behalf of the CARLI Collection Management Committee)

The CARLI Collection Management Committee is seeking examples from members’ collection-development policies that incorporate language that acknowledges historical, structural, and systemic injustice, or that incorporates the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

If your collection-development policy includes this language, we encourage you to share that information with the committee. We’d like to share examples of how members are incorporating these topics into their collection policies.

Here’s a brief form to share your collection-development policy language. Please complete and submit the form by Friday, January 14.
