Call for Examples (for Book Chapter) of Academic Libraries’ Support for Students Experiencing Homelessness or Housing Insecurity

Posted on March 31, 2019 by Eric Edwards

(via Vikki Terrile, Queensborough Community College)

I am writing a chapter on how academic libraries support students experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity for the forthcoming book Underserved Patrons in University Libraries: Assisting Students Facing Trauma, Abuse, and Discrimination, published by Libraries Unlimited and edited by Dr. Julia Skinner and Dr. Melissa Gross (CUNY IRB # 2019-0233).

I am looking for academic libraries and librarians actively involved in this work that are willing to share their experiences.  If you are interested in being interviewed (in-person, by phone, or by web, location depending) for this project, please email me at vterrile@qcc.cuny.edu.

Please note that participation in this project is voluntary; there will be no compensation for participation.  Additionally, participants’ identities and institutions will be fully disclosed in the final written chapter.

Please also feel free to pass this request along to others in your circle who may be interested.

Thank you!
