Reminder: Registration Open for 19th Annual Information Literacy Summit (Online April 29-30)

This is a reminder that registration is now open for the 19th Annual Information Literacy Summit, which will take place online from Thursday, April 29, to Friday, April 30. The focus of this year’s meeting will be on challenging the status quo and rethinking information literacy theories and practices, with a special focus on responding to the concerns of 2020. The Information Literacy Summit is free and virtual this year, featuring two keynotes, a very special closing address, and two days of breakout sessions, and a week of virtual posters. It will be presented by College of DuPage Library, DePaul University Library, and Moraine Valley Community College Library

Keynote Addresses

  • Dr. Laura Saunders, Associate Professor at Simmons University School of Library and Information Science.
  • Fobazi Ettarh, Undergraduate Success Librarian, Rutgers Newark

Closing Address

  • Lisa Janicke Hinchliffe, Professor/Coordinator for Information Literacy Services and Instruction in the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Breakout Sessions

Breakout sessions will be announced by early March. Registered attendees will receive a link to the agenda and session zoom rooms on Monday, April 26.

Poster Sessions

Poster sessions will also be announced in early March. Registered attendees will receive the link to view poster sessions on Monday, April 26. Posters will be available to view and comment on throughout the week.

  • teachers and other educators who want to discuss information literacy, student research and student use of information.
