I’m working with a group of former SLA (Special Libraries Association) Illinois members to create a Special Librarians Forum within the Illinois Library Association. The Forum will represent the interests of information professionals who work in places like corporations, hospitals, the military, museums, law firms, advertising agencies, professional associations, private businesses, and the government, in addition to those who work outside of a typical library setting.
In order to bring it to the ILA Board for consideration, we need to collect at least 60 e-signatures for our online petition. So far, we have reached two-thirds of our goal.
