The Academic Library Advancement and Development Network (ALADN) 2026 Conference will be held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, from Saturday, April 11, to Tuesday, April 14. The theme is “Music City Melodies: Libraries and Philanthropy”, and the website is available here. The Academic Library Advancement and Development Network is a professional  community of academic library fundraising and advancement professionals across the United States and Canada. Members include development officers, librarians, associate university librarians, and deans who work to secure support from individuals, corporations, and foundations for academic and research libraries.

This year’s conference promises to be a great one with informative and engaging sessions, as well as fantastic networking events that celebrate the culture of Middle Tennessee and its musical roots. The Sunday Pre-Conference Workshop is perfect for anyone new to fundraising or libraries, but veterans who just want a refresher of what yields results are also welcome to attend.

If you have never attended ALADN or are wondering who from your libraries should attend, people new to leadership roles, deans, directors, communication teams, development officers, public programming and outreach groups, along with anyone who engages with donors and alumni, would be ideal. It is a meeting where we get good ideas, learn new strategies, hear about success stories, and celebrate the goodness of libraries and archives.

You can register here. Make sure you register by Sunday, January 18, to receive the early-bird rate.
