The Medical Library Association’s (MLA) Collection Development Caucus will be hosting a forum to explore education opportunities that strengthen negotiation skills, a critical competency for managing vendor relationships, licensing agreements, and subscription renewals. Please join us online Monday, April 6, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CDT here. No registration is required.
The session will start with brief presentations about the ONEAL Project and the California Digital Library’s Licensing Toolkit and the UC Libraries Forum Licensing Workshop. We will hear from:
- Katharine Macy, Scarlet Galvan, & Courtney Fuson – The ONEAL Project
- Carly Ryan – California Digital Library
Whether you’re new to negotiation or looking to refine your approach, this forum will provide education opportunities to strengthen those skills. Following the presentations, there will be time for Q&A, discussion, and an opportunity to share other resources.
Non-MLA members are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. The session will not be recorded to encourage open conversation.
