On Tuesday, September 14, and Wednesday, September 15, the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library and the Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq. Law Library at Howard University will hold a two half-day virtual symposium with a focus on the Challenges and Legal Implications of Misinformation in Health Disparities and Health Policies that Affect Minority Groups in the U.S. Keynote speakers include Dr. Robert Pearl, author of Mistreated: Why We Think We’re Getting Good Health Care–And Why We’re Usually Wrong and Uncaring: How the Culture of Medicine Kills Doctors and Patients; and Olajumoke Obayanju, Director of the National Racial Equity Initiative (NREI) for Social Justice at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF).
