The next free webinar in the A&E Inside Bytes series, hosted by the Special Libraries Association Academic & Education Community and ACRL’s EBSS Education Committee, will take place on Friday, September 12, at 11:30 AM CDT. It will feature Dr. Brady D. Lund, who is an assistant professor of information science at the University of North Texas. His research explores the ethical integration of emerging technologies into society, particularly focusing on how tools like generative artificial intelligence (AI) affect users in information-rich and culturally integral environments like libraries and higher education classrooms.
This session will explore Brady’s research on how artificial intelligence is perceived across college and university campuses, with a focus on students’ views regarding the ethics of using AI in coursework and research. The discussion will also consider the broader implications for higher education policy and teaching practices.
