When learning something new, have you ever had difficulty concentrating or felt overwhelmed, frustrated, or tired? Sometimes that happens when we are learning something new that is complicated or in-depth because our brain is at its capacity. This webinar will help you gain a basic understanding of cognitive load theory and how it can be applied to one-shot library instruction sessions to enhance learning through a combination of direct instruction, examples, and a collaborative activity.
By understanding how our brains process and store information, we can design instruction that is easier for learners to digest and assimilate into long-term memory, thus potentially reducing the risk of overwhelming students and enhancing overall learning outcomes. This is especially valuable in one-shot library sessions in health professions, where time is limited.
For more details, including learning objectives and the presenter’s biography, and to register, please go here. The cost is $96.00.
