Please join us for another great LILi (Lifelong Information Literacy) Show & Tell, “Digital Literacy and Information Literacy”. The session will take place online Wednesday, February 11, at 1:00 PM CDT. The presenters are Kristi Addleman Ritter, Cori Biddle, Frankie Cheechio, and Emily Zimmerman.
Digital literacy and information literacy have increasingly become two sides of the same coin in academic libraries; students struggle with basic digital technology skills almost as much as they do with basic research skills. In response to this, Penn State University Libraries developed the Tech Academy in 2020 to help provide a basic introduction to the technology and digital tools available to all Penn State students. This program will cover how librarians adapted their information literacy instruction strategies to meet digital literacy learning needs, and the strategies the program organizers follow to keep the content relevant and up-to-date.
No registration is required. Please join the meeting here. A recording will also be available on the LILi Show & Tell webpage after the session.
