Call for Submissions: Journal Information Technology and Libraries (Rolling Deadline)

Posted on April 22, 2022 by Eric Edwards

(via Marisha Kelly, Northcentral University)

The journal Information Technology and Libraries (ITAL) is seeking submissions. Has your library successfully implemented a new system and developed an effective workflow? Have you applied the use of a specific software in library instruction to positively impact learning?

The editors at Information Technology and Libraries, or ITAL, invite new authors to submit their unique experiences, innovative ideas, and in-depth analyses related to all aspects of information technology in all types of libraries, archives, and museums. ITAL is a refereed journal published quarterly by Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a division of the American Library Association.

Topic areas include, but are not limited to, the intersection of libraries, archives, or museums and library automation, digital libraries, metadata, identity management, distributed systems and networks, computer security, intellectual property rights, technical standards, geographic information systems, desktop applications, information discovery tools, web-scale library services, cloud computing, digital preservation, data curation, virtualization, search-engine optimization, emerging technologies, social networking, open data, the semantic web, mobile services and applications, usability, universal access to technology, library consortia, vendor relations, or digital humanities.

Submissions are accepted for consideration and review on a rolling deadline. All papers should be original and not have been published elsewhere. More information about ITAL submission guidelines is available here. Be sure to check out the latest March 2022 (Vol. 41, No. 1) issue here.

Questions? Please feel free to e-mail the editors.
