The call for proposals for “Transforming Information: Libraries in the age of AI” is now open. “Transforming Information: Libraries in the Age of AI” is a two-day virtual conference that seeks to address the impact that Generative AI has had on libraries as a whole. This conference, which will take place on Monday, November 17, and Tuesday, November 18, seeks to explore AI’s impact on all types of libraries including school, academic, special, law, medical, military, and all others.
Please see the call for submissions for additional details, including the list of potential topics. Submissions can be presentations lasting 5-7 minutes, or 10-minute demos of a specific tool, suite of tools, or AI-centered project. We welcome demo submissions that show innovative uses of AI tools, which would be at an intermediate or advanced level. This may include demos which demonstrate the use of custom GPTs/LLMs, APIs, agentic AI, programming, and other intermediate and advanced use cases.
Please submit presentations and demos here. All library professionals (librarians, administrative staff, library staff, library assistants, consultants, retired library professionals, etc.) are encouraged to submit. Current MLS and MLIS students are also encouraged to submit.
