Call for Participation: Research Study “Inclusive Metadata Practices in Digital Libraries”

Posted on April 7, 2026 by Eric Edwards

(via Stephanie Luke, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign)

We are writing to you to invite you to participate in a survey for a research study Inclusive Metadata Practices in Digital Libraries. This study seeks to better understand how institutions approach inclusive description and metadata work within digital library environments.

If you currently work with digital library metadata, we would greatly appreciate your participation. If not, we encourage you to share this invitation with colleagues who may be involved in digital collections or metadata practices.

The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be collected anonymously. Your insights will contribute to a broader understanding of inclusive metadata practices across institutions and help inform future research and professional guidance in this area.

The survey is hosted on Qualtrics and can be accessed here. If you have any questions about this study, please contact Stephanie Luke at smluke2@illinois.edu or Trevor Stratton at stratt84@msu.edu.
