We understand it’s a busy time of year and hear the need for more time to work on applications. The MLA Rising Stars Jury has extended the application deadline to Tuesday, December 2, 2025. This is your chance to take the next step in your leadership journey and help shape the future of the organization and the greater health information industry. As an MLA Rising Star, you will:
- Participate in monthly leadership sessions with MLA leaders
- Collaborate with a cohort of peers on a high-impact MLA project
- Receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals
- Gain visibility and recognition within the MLA community
Application Requirements
All criteria and program requirements are on MLANET. To submit your application, you will need to prepare:
- A one-page personal statement outlining your background, goals, and how the program will support your leadership development
- A current CV or résumé
- A letter of support from your library director, including confirmation of time and (optional) financial support to attend the MLA Annual Meeting
