The Colorado Alliance and Greater Western Library Alliance are pleased to offer four (4) scholarships for the upcoming conference: OER: FROM VISION TO ACTION, to be held August 1-2, 2018, in Denver, Colorado.
Two (2) scholarships are targeted towards current students in ALA accredited Library Science graduate programs. The other 2 scholarships are directed to library employees in a community college.
The chosen applicants will have their registration fee for the 2-day conference (including lunch both days and the conference evening reception) WAIVED! Please note that all transportation and lodging costs are the sole responsibility of the scholarship winner(s).
Please email a 250 word essay detailing your financial constraints and any future or current OER projects presently ongoing in your institution. The request should be emailed JUNE 11TH, 2018 no later than 5 pm PST to: Events@GWLA.org with the subject line: REQUESTING A SCHOLARSHIP. Please ensure that your full name, institution, institutional email, and phone are included. Decisions will be announced no later than Friday June 15, by close of business.
