ILA Reporter Seeking Examples of Summer Reading Programs for Article to Appear in October Issue

Posted on July 15, 2018 by Eric Edwards

The ILA Reporter Advisory Committee is in the process of planning the October issue. We are including an article on summer reading programs that libraries sponsor in collaboration with community partners, such as local public schools. While the focus of the article will be on programming by public libraries, the Advisory Committee would like to include collaborations between community partners and other types of libraries, including as academic, medical, and hospital ones.

If your library sponsors a summer reading program in collaboration with a community organization, and you would like to contribute your insights to the article, please e-mail Eric Edwards, ILA Reporter Advisory Committee Co-Chair, at eedwards@ilsos.net at your earliest convenience. He will then pass the idea along to ILA Executive Director Diane Foote for final approval. The contribution would be due by Sunday, August 5, and it would not need to be more than a paragraph or two.

Thank you very much for your consideration.
