Registration is open for the free Scholarly Snippets webinar “Please Stop ‘Conducting’ PRISMA Reviews: Let’s Talk about Evidence Synthesis Standards”. It will take place on Wednesday, April 8, from 11:00 to 11:30 AM CDT.
PRISMA is a systematic review reporting checklist, not a roadmap for research execution, yet many authors mistakenly cite it as their primary methodology. This snippet distinguishes between reporting checklists and true conducting standards, using real-world examples of methods sections that miss the mark. Participants will leave with a quick-reference guide of major reporting and methodological standards and a framework for when to use them.
The presenter is Esmeralda Rodgers, MLIS, AHIP, Evidence Review & Synthesis Librarian for the Texas A&M University Medical Sciences Library.
Please register here. All sessions are recorded and posted to the Scholarly Snippets YouTube channel.
The Scholarly Snippets workshop series is the culmination of a multi-institutional collaborative effort between osteopathic medical libraries, aimed at providing informative and quality presentations relating to research, scholarship, and resources. More information is available here. The California Health Sciences University is the sponsor.
