The 2026 ThriveLib Advisory Board invites you to submit a proposal for ThriveLib 2026: Reimagining Library Culture Together, a virtual conference focused on reclaiming joy, balance, and boundaries in library work.
Conference Dates: Tuesday, August 11 – Thursday, August 13
Proposal deadline: Friday, April 10, at 12:00 PM CDT
ThriveLib invites librarians and library workers to share sessions that explore sustainable careers, healthier workplace cultures, and collective approaches to well-being in libraries. The conference centers honest conversations about burnout, boundaries, psychological safety, and building more humane library workplaces.
We welcome proposals that are exploratory, grounded in lived experience, and focused on practical or collective approaches to change.
Speakers receive an honorarium and free conference registration.
Sessions should support one or more of the following goals:
- Identify actionable practices that support long-term, meaningful library career
- Examine how library culture influences joy, balance, and boundaries in daily work
- Explore capacity-aware, collective strategies for cultural change in libraries
