Please join us for a forum on how lists of core health sciences resources are developed! The Forum on Creating Core Health Sciences Resource Lists will take place online Wednesday, December 3, at 12:00 PM CDT.
This session will focus on non-commercial lists of recommended books, journals, and databases. It’s a great opportunity to learn about how these core lists come together, and how you can potentially participate.
This informal session will start with presentations from:
- Nicole Theis-Mahon, Contributor to MLA’s 2022 Recommended Journals, Databases and Books for Dental Hygiene Programs
- Sarah Wade, Contributor to the MLA NAHRS Nursing Essential Resources List
- Krystal Bullers and Dr. Jason Guy, Co-Editors of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s (AACP) Basic Resources for Pharmacy Education List, who will also provide a brief overview of AACP’s Core Journals List
Please access the meeting here. No registration is required, and the meeting is open to people who are not members of the Medical Library Association.
Following the presentations, there will be time for Q&A and discussion. Non-MLA members are welcome to attend and participate. The session will not be recorded to encourage open conversation, but presentation slides will be shared afterward.
This forum is co-sponsored by the Medical Library Association’s (MLA) Collection Development Caucus, Dental Caucus, and Nursing & Allied Health Resources and Services Caucus.
