Georgia State University Library is accepting proposals for our free Open Education Week celebration, to take place online Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM CDT.
The missions of the Open for Student Success Symposium are to:
- gather and celebrate innovators who are practicing and studying open and affordable education in higher education
- produce an annual collection of openly accessible recordings and ancillary materials that advance the landscape of open and affordable education
The Open for Student Success Symposium’s scope includes everything relating to:
Faculty and staff: We welcome proposals by faculty and staff practicing open and affordable education at any institution of higher education. Faculty and staff are encouraged to invite student collaborators as co-presenters.
Student spotlights: We welcome proposals by students who have completed research or class projects on the topic of open and affordable education. Other submissions will also be considered.
Proposals are due by Saturday, November 1, 2025. Decisions will be sent by Saturday, November 22, 2025.
