We are thrilled to announce the continuation of the Illinois Cataloging Mentorship Program (iCAMP), a nine-month initiative designed to foster both professional and personal development among participants.
Program Overview
iCAMP operates on a comprehensive nine-month framework, structured to facilitate growth and learning through mentorship. Over nine months, participants will engage in monthly meetings with suggested topics from the iCAMP Mentorship Committee. These sessions serve as focal points for mentors and mentees to connect and discuss goals.
Participant Journey
Throughout the program, mentees will embark on a journey of personal and professional growth, guided by experienced mentors who provide insights and support. Mentors, in turn, gain valuable perspectives through teaching and mentoring. The program emphasizes the advancement of cataloging skills, networking opportunities, and the establishment of lasting professional relationships.
Application Process
- Mentors: Those with approximately five years of cataloging experience are especially encouraged to apply as mentors. Share your expertise and guide the next generation of catalogers. Please submit your application by Friday, September 12.
- Mentees: Library science students, early-career professionals, and library staff interested in advancing their cataloging skills are encouraged to apply as mentees. Please submit your application by Friday, September 12.

We invite you to be part of this enriching experience that combines structured learning with personal connections, fostering a supportive environment for growth and collaboration.
