College of DuPage Library is excited to host the National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit “Making a World of Difference: Stories about Global Health” from Monday, August 25, to Saturday, October 4, on the Library’s upper floor.
Hosting the NLM exhibit gives the College of DuPage Library a chance to showcase the many extraordinary ways our Library, our Institution, faculty, students, staff, and our community assist one another, learn and grow together, and support public health locally, nationally, and globally. As we began building out programming and creating a companion research guide and site that adds COD’s stories to those told on the exhibit’s banners, we utilized the theme “Global Reach, Local Touch @ COD”.
Please share in our celebration of this amazing exhibit and our Library’s efforts to connect our community and what we do the exhibit’s themes. Everyone is invited to attend our opening reception on Thursday, September 4, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CDT (more details in the events section located at the bottom of the companion guide’s main page). You are also invited to participate in online and on-demand events (some details are still being finalized, as Monday marks the first day of our fall semester–check back!).
