This year, 2025, CARLI celebrates our 20th anniversary!
We are planning to commemorate the day at our CARLI Annual Meeting, on Tuesday, October 21, in Champaign at the I-Hotel and Illinois Conference Center. The meeting is no cost to you; lunch will be provided.
Our CARLI Annual Meeting keynote speaker is Scott Carlson, senior writer and columnist at The Chronicle of Higher Education and co-author of Hacking College: Why the Major Doesn’t Matter—and What Really Does.
How can YOU help celebrate CARLI?
- Register to attend and come join in the day!
- Anyone may attend the CARLI Annual Meeting and 20th Anniversary Celebration, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM CDT. We’d love to see all our members at the meeting!
- Directors (or their designee) should also register for the CARLI Governing Directors Meeting, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM CDT.
- Share your memories of CARLI. We’ll share them at the meeting and on the CARLI website.
- Submit narrative memories to CARLI Support with “CARLI memories” as the subject line.
- Share photos from your library’s last 20 years! Save photos here with a descriptive file name. For each photo, please include a statement referencing the permission source/license for CARLI to share the photo.
- We’ll be having a “Curious Things from Your Collection” contest. Bring to the October 21 meeting the most outlandish, weird, and/or strangest thing (or a picture of it) in your library’s collection(s) or submit your entry to CARLI Support with “Curious Collections.” Attendees will vote to select the winner!
See the event page for lodging and—new this year—carpool information!
We look forward to seeing you October 21!
