(via IACRL)
Each year, IACRL (Illinois Association of College and Research Libraries) looks for new members to join a committee. Serving on a committee is a great way to meet new people within the Illinois academic library community and work together towards a common purpose. Committee members serve for three years and typically spend 1-2 hours each month on committee tasks. Committee chairs serve a one-year term and spend approximately 2-3 hours each month carrying out the goals of the committee.
Consider serving on one of five IACRL committees: Conference and Continuing Education Committee; Membership Committee; Communications Committee; Awards Committee; or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Visit the Join an IACRL Committee page for committee details and the application.
