The Science and Technology Section Government Information Committee of ACRL (the Association of College & Research Libraries) proudly presents our symposium on Tuesday, June 24, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM CDT. The event is titled “Bringing Together AI, STEM, and Government Information”. We hope to encourage discussion among representatives of academia, government, and the library community concerning AI’s impact on teaching, research, and library services, especially relating to STEM.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Leo Lo, ACRL President, who will present on “Whose Content Is It Anyway? Copyright, Ethics and AI”. The symposium will also include an invited guest speaker, Nalini Mummalaneri, Senior Legal Advisor, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), who will speak about “AI at the USPTO”.
