Registration is open for the webinar “Shifting Library Dynamics through Read and Publish Agreements”. It will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at 1:00 PM CDT.
The move from the traditional subscription model to transformative or read and publish agreements changes the dynamics between libraries and their stakeholders. It offers an opportunity for libraries to negotiate funding for underfunded authors or to streamline the author process in handling costs. For libraries, transformative agreements provide a chance to work more closely with research and provost’s offices, and to gain support for a shift in funding models.
This webinar will highlight how one library has used its read and publish agreements to strengthen relationships with these offices and their researchers. In addition, the T&F presenters will demonstrate how they provide data to underpin this collection decision and support authors.
The presenters are Dr. Rachel E. Scott, Associate Dean for Information Assets at Illinois State University’s Milner Library; Dr. Liz Turner, Manager, Open Research Partnerships at Taylor & Francis; and Joseph Lerro, Open Research Business Development Manager for the Americas at Taylor & Francis.
