The OpenCon Cleveland Planning Committee invites you to join us for virtual OpenCon Cleveland 2022 on Friday, May 20. During the preceding week, there will be asynchronous lightning talk viewing and discussion. Friday, May 20, will be live, and consist of three 45-minute panel discussions and our keynote speaker presentation. More information about our fabulous keynote speaker is below!

The registration deadline is Friday, May 13. Register here.

OpenCon Cleveland is an annual event that celebrates the benefits of open education to student learning. Faculty, students, librarians, instructional designers, and administrators are all welcome to attend our virtual conference. This event is free, and although it looks a bit different this year, the OpenCon committee has prepared a conference that provides flexibility and engagement opportunities!

Here’s what you can look forward to at the conference!

  • The theme of our event this year is “Collaboration in Open Education”.
  • The event begins on Monday, May 16, when attendees can view lightning talks at their leisure via our Slack channel. Conference attendees are also encouraged to participate in asynchronous discussions via Slack.
  • On Friday, May 20, the conference will shift to synchronous discussion in our three live panel events via Zoom and participants can ask questions of the speakers. A keynote presentation given by Anita Walz will take place at 2:30 PM CDT.

More information about the virtual OpenCon 2022 Cleveland event can be found here.
