From the ALA Public Policy & Advocacy Office: Unite Against Book Bans, a national initiative to empower readers everywhere to stand together in the fight against censorship. The American Library Association reported more than 729 attempted bans of 1,597 individual books in 2021 alone.

House Resolution 0852 was filed on May 2, 2022 that would declare June 2022 as Aphasia Awareness Month in Illinois.
