The IACRL (Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries) Conference & Continuing Education Committee is pleased to announce its next Spark event! Join us for Spark: Open Pathways – Exploring the Intersections of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Open Educational Resources. The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 9, via Zoom. Library workers from all libraries in Illinois are welcome to attend!

The Committee is also seeking proposals for 10-minute lightning talks. Proposals should focus on one of the following topics.
- culturally responsive instruction and “Open”
- elements of traditional textbook publishing or pedagogy that exclude
- how “open” can clear barriers to DEI
- OER is not fundamentally diverse or inclusive
- OER and Belonging
Proposals on other topics will also be considered as space allows.
